Position Overview: Road Pro Tech

As a Road Pro Tech, you’ll be dispatched per contract and paid per completed job. This is not an hourly or full-time position — instead, it’s an on-call, contract-based opportunity for individuals who are motivated, fast-responding, and equipped for emergency roadside services. You’ll be expected to accept calls and head out ASAP, often under urgent conditions. Speed and readiness are key.

Compensation

💰 $13–$15 per completed call

🛣️ $0.75 per mile (from your location to the disablement site)

Requirements

• Your own personal vehicle
• Smartphone (for dispatch and navigation)
• Basic ERS tools (see equipment list below)
• Must be able to respond to calls immediately when accepted — no flexible scheduling, but you choose which jobs to accept
• Must pass a valid background check
• Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Experience

✔️ Prior Emergency Roadside Assistance (ERA/ERS) experience

✔️ Familiarity with safe roadside procedures

✔️ Strong communication & problem-solving skills

✔️ Ability to stay cool under pressure

Required Equipment

To operate as a Road Pro Tech, you must own and be comfortable using the following tools:

🔧 Tire Service Tools

• 2 Ton / 3 Ton / 5 Ton Jack
• ½” Impact Drill with backup batteries & charger
• Lug sockets (17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 24 mm)
• Rubber mallet

💨 Air Delivery Tools

• Air hose (25ft or 50ft)
• Air tank (11 gal preferred)

🔋 Jumpstart & Diagnostic Tools

• 3000/4000 amp jump box
• Medium/Heavy duty jumper cables
• Battery tester
• OBD scanner

🔑 Lockout Kit

• Air jacks, reach sticks, loop tools

🦺 Safety Gear

• High visibility vest or gear
